Jessica Sellers
Marketing Specialist
Jessica is passionate about education, entrepreneurship, mental health, and the power of storytelling to create positive change. Founder of The Overcomers Magazine, she has worked as a full-service graphic designer and printer. In addition, she has over 10 years of public and private teaching experience. While in the classroom, Jessica observed how ongoing societal challenges often adversely affect students, thereby contributing to the development of shame, stigma, and perfectionism. Consequently, she decided to create something more uplifting that helps to elevate students beyond the constraints of their own personal circumstances or difficulties. Voila! The Overcomers Magazine was born.
As a marketing specialist for the Get REAL Foundation, Jessica focuses on promoting positive events that align with the Foundation’s principles of Resilience, Empathy, Authenticity, and Love. In addition, she enjoys working with other professionals in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, including schools and the media, to create meaningful and effective partnerships and collaborations.
In her spare time, Jessica loves spending time with her children, family, and friends. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors as well as nature. She has an academic background in communications and political science from Brigham Young University and is the proud mother of two “mini-me” daughters.
