LiveFreely Inc. Co-Founder and CEO, Dr. Arthur Jue, used to tell his engineer-scientist father that he would never work in technology. He has since learned to “never say never.” After crashing several mainframe computers early career, Arthur was promoted into management where he could “do no harm.” In his spare time, he enjoys creating chaos by serving on financial services, academic, and non-profit boards, once consternating 15+ boards simultaneously.
He received a B.Sc. in marketing (valedictorian) with a music minor and blames blesses his mother for tricking him into earning an MBA and then a doctorate. Along the way, he invaded executive programs at London Business School, Harvard, and Oxford, earning a certification in corporate board governance. For therapy, he serves on editorial boards of academic journals and trade publications. He has spoken on five continents and enjoys writing about leadership, technology, talent management, organizational development, and entrepreneurship, among other topics.
He wrote one of his best-known books, Social Media at Work, before he even had a social media account. When the book actually sold well, he decided he had better get one. One of his most cited articles is on subliminal seduction (Can you see the “donate to Get REAL” subliminal message here? ). He has also led a sustainable biofuel development effort in the South Pacific and is dean-emeritus of a regional law school.
Dr. Jue teaches only the most gullible grad students, was a missionary in New Zealand, is an Eagle Scout, and serves as a media relations director for the NorCal Bay Area Communication Council of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An award-winning independent film producer, he enjoys rock-and-gem collecting, Latin dancing (with two left feet), the outdoors, and traveling. He is a martial arts flunky, (modestly deutan color-blind) artist, concert violinist, and single menace to society.
