Get Real Foundation

We are a group of individuals from all walks of life who have faced diverse challenges and difficulties. We have come together to partner with the Divine in elevating our culture to one of greater compassion and belonging. We do this by helping individuals and families overcome shameful beliefs, stigma, and perfectionism. We strive to inspire better ways of living by promoting resilience, empathy, authenticity, and love of God, self, and others. We believe in service and the dignity of every life.

Resilience

We rise each time we fall and never give up on ourselves or others. With this resilience, we allow for mistakes and growth within ourselves and others. 

Empathy

We uphold those who are hurting by listening to and feeling their needs. With shared empathy, we remove unneeded barriers of shame and are uplifted to recognize our own self-worth, which leads to paths of healing.

Authenticity

We believe in speaking our truth, even in our darkest hours. With authenticity, we claim our weaknesses and strengths. We acknowledge and recognize that our stories are worth telling and that they can help others to learn and grow as we all rise together. 

Love

We love all of God’s children and strive to serve selflessly in our spheres of influence: homes, churches, and communities.  As God fills us with divine love, we are able to love ourselves and others. With this love, we strive to be Good Samaritans. We minister to the one who is alone, outcast, downtrodden, marginalized, drowning, or suffering – whether spiritually, physically, emotionally, or socially.  We encircle them with compassion and feelings of belonging, inviting others to do likewise.
